Scholarship: George & Sara McClelland Schp

Information: The George D. and Sara Kyger McClelland Endowed Premedical Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 by Ann McClelland Bishop and her husband, Jerry Zamzow of Houston, Texas to honor Ann's parents, George D. and Sara Kyger McClelland. Sara Eugenia Kyger McClelland graduated from Baylor University in 1943 with a B.A. degree in English. George D. McClelland graduated from Texas A&M University in 1943. This endowed scholarship fund provides assistance to deserving students who are pursuing a premedical program leading to a career in medicine.

Comments: First preference is to students who are accepted to the Baylor2 Medical Track (Baylor University/Baylor College of Medicine Guaranteed Admissions Program) and second preference is to students who are pursuing a premedical program leading to a career in medicine.

Criteria:  For students with a concentration in (preferred) or Pre-Medical who are a junior or senior.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on merit.
