Scholarship: Brendon Chase Mooney Schp

Information: The Brendon Chase Mooney Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 by Joan and Richard Mooney of Spring, Texas in loving memory of their son, Brendon.

Brendon Chase Mooney passed away on May 11, 2009 in a car accident near the Baylor campus, just one year from earning his degree in exercise physiology. He had a passion for health and exercise. He planned to become a trainer and work with high school athletes. At the August 2009 Baylor commencement ceremony, Joan and Richard Mooney accepted Brendon's diploma, which was awarded posthumously.

Joan Mooney received a B.S. degree in education from Baylor University in 1976. Joan and Richard Mooney are life members of the Baylor Alumni Association.

Criteria:  For Exercise Physiology majors in the Health/Human Perf/Recreation department who are a junior or senior.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
