Scholarship:	David Matthew Warner Schp
Information:	The Lloyd L., Ill, and Carol Edgar Warner Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 by Lloyd L., Ill, and Carol Edgar Warner of Houston, Texas. The scholarship name was changed from the Lloyd L., Ill, and Carol Edgar Warner Endowed Scholarship Fund to the David Matthew Warner Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund in 2019. Lloyd L. Warner, Ill, received a B.S. degree in geophysics and physics from Baylor University in 1981. Receiving a degree through the Department of Geology at Baylor University placed Lloyd in an excellent starting position for a career in geophysics. It is his desire to help students reach this same position - achieving a Baylor degree that will enable them to begin their own successful careers in the field of geology. Carol Edgar Warner received a B.B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1981. She is a member of the Baylor "B" Association as an athletic letter winner in volleyball. Lloyd and Carol are life members of the Baylor Alumni Association. They have three children: Stephanie, David, and Laura. It was after the death of their 30 year old son, David, that Lloyd and Carol decided to honor his passing by changing the name of the scholarship to the David Matthew Warner Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Comments:	Preference first for Geoscience majors and then Geology majors.
Criteria:	For Undergraduate Geophysics or Geology majors.
Minimum GPA:	The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.
Need/Merit:	Based on merit.
