Scholarship: William F & Julia Thomas Schp

Information: The Dr. William F. and Julia A. Thomas Family Endowed Scholarship Fund in Theatre Arts was established by Dr. William F. Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Thomas received his B.A. from Baylor University in 1951 with a double major in Bible and drama. He received his M.R.E. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1953. Mrs. Thomas graduated from Texas Woman's University in 1953 with a degree in elementary education. She met Mr. Thomas while he was a student at Baylor and both were active in religious drama touring groups--William with the Baylor Theater and Julia with the Baptist Student Union. Preference is given to students who are pursuing a degree in theatre arts on the basis of need and merit.

Comments: For Sophomore-Senior students in the Theater Arts department.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the Theater Arts department.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
