Scholarship: Frank Burkhalter Scholarship

Information: The Frank E. Burkhalter Memorial Scholarship was established in 1978 by family and friends in memory of Mr. Frank E. Burkhalter. In 1985, Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. DeLancey of Houston, Texas made a commitment to support this scholarship and have contributed generously over the years. Preference for this scholarship is given to students majoring in journalism.

Comments: Preference for awards goes to seniors and juniors.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Journalism majors.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on merit.
