Scholarship: Lucy Colvin Scholarship

Information: The Lucy Lester Colvin Endowed Scholarship was established in 2001 by H. R. (Rex) and Lucy Lester Colvin of Lake Jackson, Texas. Ms. Colvin received a B.A. degree in elementary education from Baylor University in 1959. This scholarship honors the life of Lucy Lester Colvin and her contributions not only to her family, but also to the many people whose lives she has touched through her teaching, church, other organizations and friends.

Comments: Recipients must be pursuing a career in teaching.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Education majors in the School of Education.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
