Scholarship: Scott and Oliver Scholarship

Information: The Martha Lou Scott and Dub Oliver Excellence in Student Involvement Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 by current and former Welcome Week Steering Committee members. Dr. Martha Lou Scott received a B.S. degree from Baylor University in 1971 and a M.P.A. degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1977. She received an Ed.D. from Baylor University in 1984. Dr. Samuel W. "Dub" Oliver received a B.S. degree from Baylor University in 1987. He received an M.S. degree in 1991 and a Ph.D. degree in 2001, both from Texas A&M University. This endowed scholarship fund recognizes senior students attending Baylor who have exhibited outstanding leadership and involvement on campus.

Comments: Fund is used recognize a graduating senior who has exhibited outstanding leadership & involvement on campus as well as a strong commitment to the mission of Baylor University.

Criteria:  For students who are a senior.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on merit.
