Scholarship: Roper Family Scholarship

Information: The Roper Family Endowment Fund was established in 1993 by Walter C. Roper and his wife, Suzanne R. Roper through the Baptist Foundation of Texas. In 2006, the family designated earnings from the fund to provide scholarships for Baylor students. Walter C. (W.C.) Roper (deceased) received his B.S. from Baylor University in 1962 and his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1965. Suzanne Rector Roper received her B.M.E. from Baylor University in 1962 and her M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas. This endowed scholarship fund provides assistance to deserving students enrolled in the School of Education who are majoring in outdoor recreation.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Recreation majors with a concentration in Outdoor Recreation.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
