Scholarship: Gene Thompson SW Schp

Information: The Gene Thompson Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 by family and friends in memory of Gene Thompson, a longtime associate pastor at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Gene's deep affection for Baylor began when he was Minister of Education at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (1953-1960) and grew as he taught several religion classes at Baylor. All three of the Thompsons' children and two daughters-in-law earned degrees from Baylor. This endowed scholarship fund provides assistance to undergraduate students who are pursuing a major in social work.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Social Work majors.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
