Scholarship: Rex Jennings Family Schp

Information: The Rex Jennings Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 by N. Rex and Sue Morrison Jennings of Dallas, Texas in memory of Rex Jennings, father of N. Rex Jennings.

Rex Jennings was born in 1925 in Direct, Texas and graduated from Direct High School. In 1973, he married Betty Zane Palmer of Garretts Bluff, Texas - his wife of 46 years until her death in 1989. Rex spent his entire working career as a Chamber of Commerce executive. He spent the last 20 years of his career as president of the Denver, Colorado Chamber of Commerce. He was very proud of Denver and what part he was in making in the great city that it is today.

Rex Jennings passed away on September 19, 2007 at the age of 82. He was an individual who truly loved people and enjoyed the happy times he spent with his family and friends. Rex's son and grandson both graduated from Baylor University and through them, Mr. Jennings came to love Baylor and all it stands for.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Business.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
