Scholarship: Charles & Clara Patterson Schp

Information: The Charles and Clara Patterson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2009 by Charles and Clara Patterson of Killeen, Texas. Charles received a B.A. degree from Southwest Texas State University and M.A. and E.D. degrees from Baylor University in 1963 and 1974, respectively. Dr. Patterson retired from the Killeen Independent School District in 2005 after serving over 40 years in the district, including 17 years as superintendent. He received the "Texas Superintendent of the Year" award from the Texas Association of School Boards. Clara Patterson received a business education degree from Mary Hard-Baylor in 1959. In 2003, she retired from the Killeen Independent School District after teaching business courses for 33 years.

This endowed scholarship fund assists deserving students who are enrolled in the School of Education and pursuing a master's degree in educational administration.

Comments: Pursuing a master's degree within educational administration

Criteria:  For graduate students in the School of Education.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need.
