Scholarship: Welby/Eva Carlock Nursing Schp

Information: The Welby and Eva Dodson Carlock/Louise Herrington School of Nursing Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 by Tom H. and Wilma Carlock of San Antonio, Texas in honor of Wilma's parents: Welby and Eva Dodson Clark.

Welby Carlock was born in 1911 in Leesburg, Texas. He grew up to work as a farmer and cattleman. Eva Dodson was born near Pittsburg, Texas in 1909. After she and Welby married, she devoted herself to being a wife and mother to her children, Wilma and J.B.

This endowed scholarship fund assists deserving students enrolled in the Louise Herrington School of Nursing.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Nursing.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
