Scholarship: LT & Genevieve Halbert Schp

Information: The L. T. and Genevieve Halbert Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 by Robert T. Weems of Nacogdoches, Texas in honor of his grandparents, L. T. and Genevieve Halbert.

Robert Weems received a B.S.Ed. degree from Baylor University in 2000 with a major in recreation. He is a member of the Baylor University Endowed Scholarship Society, the Baylor Bear Foundation and a life member of the Baylor Alumni Association.

Robert's maternal grandparents, L. T. and Genevieve Halbert, made it possible for him to attend and graduate from Baylor University. They instilled into their grandson that education is the most important thing in life, and their relationship with Christ strongly influenced Robert's decision to attend Baylor.

This endowed scholarship assists deserving undergraduates who are enrolled in the School of Education and pursuing a major in recreation.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Recreation majors.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
