Scholarship: Piper & Thieme Scholarship

Information: The Florence Piper and James D. Thieme Endowed Fund/Louise Herrington School of Nursing was established in 2008 by Benjamin Thieme and James Thieme of Dallas, Texas in memory of their parents, Florence Piper and James D. Thieme.

Florence Piper received a B.S.N. from Baylor University in 1938. She was very proud of her Blue Star Pin and Cap. James D. Thieme attended Concordia University-Austin when it was a college preparatory school. He held various positions throughout his career and worked as a comptroller/CPA for a large construction company until his retirement.

James and Florence Thieme worked hard to provide their sons with a great education and upbringing. Just as the Lord has blessed them in abundance, Ben and Jim want to be a blessing by giving back to college students in their parents honor.

This endowed scholarship assists deserving students who are enrolled in the Louise Herrington School of Nursing.

Comments: Preference to students enrolled in the FastBacc nursing program

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Nursing.
