Scholarship: Jay/Jenny Allison Scholarship

Information: The Jay and Jenny Allison Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing was established in 2009 by Jay and Jenny Allison of Frisco, Texas.

Jay and Jenny Allison have been dedicated to Baylor University since their graduation. Jay earned a B.B.A. degree in 1978, an M.A. degree in 1980 and a J.D. degree in 1981 from Baylor University. While at Baylor, he lettered in football three years. In 1983, he cofounded his own private independent oil and gas company. Jay has also given of his time and talents to serve as a Baylor Regent. Jenny Allison earned a B.S. degree in 1978 and an M.S. degree in 1980 from Baylor. She served as president of the Baylor University Women's Council of Dallas in 2009.

Jay and Jenny Allison established this endowed scholarship to assist students who would otherwise not be able to attend the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing and receive the outstanding and uniquely Christian education it offers.

Comments: Awarded to students who completed their first two years of coursework on the Waco campus.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Nursing.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need.
