Scholarship: Kirk & Carol Townsend HSB Schp

Information: The Kirk E. and Carol T. Townsend Endowed Scholarship Fund in Business was established in 2011 by Kirk and Carol Townsend of Houston, Texas. For more than 30 years, Kirk Townsend worked for Universal Compression Holdings, Inc., a NYSE listed company that merged with Hanover in 2007, creating Exterran Holdings. Kirk attended Baylor University and has been designated an Alumni-By-Choice by Baylor University and serves on the Baylor Foundation. Carol Townsend serves on the Board of Directors for MotherWise. They are members of Second Baptist Church in Houston. Kirk and Carol have one daughter, Anna.

Criteria:  For students in the School of Business who are a junior or senior.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need.
