Scholarship: Tommye Lou Davis Scholarship

Information: The Tommye Lou Davis Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 by Tommye Lou Davis of Waco, Texas. Tommye Lou Davis earned B.A. and M.S.Ed. degrees from Baylor University in 1966 and 1968, respectively. Ms. Davis has been a member of the Baylor University faculty since 1966. She was appointed as an assistant professor with tenure in 1972 and was designated a Master Teach and associate professor in 1993. She has been a member of the Baylor University Faculty Senate and served on the board of directors for the Baylor Alumni Association. She was appointed as the vice president for constituent engagement by Ken Starr in 2010. She is a longtime member of the Baylor Round Table and the Baylor Bear Foundation. Tommye Lou and her husband, Donald B. Davis, are active members of the First Baptist Church of Waco. They have four children: Christi Whittenburg Roberts, John David Whittenburg, Warren Davis, and Martha Davis.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Classics majors in the Honors College.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need.
