Scholarship: Glen Oskin Scholarship

Information: The Glen Oskin Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 by the Glen Oskin Memorial Foundation of Houston, Texas in honor of Glen Robert Oskin, Jr. Glen Oskin graduated from Morehead State University in May 1977 with a B.S. in earth science. He began his career as a logging engineer and served as vice president of exploration for Michael T. Halbouty Energy. Glen was taken from this earth by a car accident in January 1995. The Glen Oskin Memorial Foundation was formally established in 2009. They selected Baylor University as the school of choice for their scholarship program because it is the alma mater of both of Glen’s children.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Geology majors.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need.
