Scholarship: Webb - Waldo Scholarship

Information: The Webb-Waldo Endowed Scholarship Fund in Elementary Education was established by Louis P. and Frances H. Webb of Nashville, Tennessee in memory of Adelia Waldo Webb, Wilma Webb, and Julia Waldo. Adelia Waldo Webb, late wife of Paul Webb, made it possible for Paul to attend and graduate from Baylor University with a B.B.A. degree in 1950. Adelia earned a B.A. degree in elementary education from A & I University in Kingsville, Texas. Late, she earned a master’s degree in education from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Wilma Webb, mother of Paul Webb, never had the privilege of a formal education; however, she had a deep desire to serve others and made contributions to the lives of people around her. Julia Waldo was the mother-in-law of Paul Webb. Because of her desire to be a teacher, she received special training at Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Arkansas and received a teaching certificate.
