Scholarship: James & Cornelia Blaine Schp

Information: The James and Cornelia Blaine Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 by Tim and Nicole Blaine in honor of Tim’s parents, Jim and Connie Blaine. Jim Blaine was born in Lowvalley County Mayo, Ireland and immigrated to the United States in 1957 and settled in Indiana where he met and married Connie McCarthy, a native of Gary, Indiana. From an early age, the importance of a quality education was instilled in the Blaine children by their parents. Tim Blaine received a B.B.A. from Baylor University in 1987 with a major in accounting. He co-founded and served as executive vice president and CFO of Sheridan Production Partners, a private oil and gas company. Tim and Nicole, a native of New Orleans, live in Houston and are blessed to have two wonderful children: Declan and Emme.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Accounting majors.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
