Scholarship: Jeremiah 29:11 Scholarship

Information: The Jeremiah 29:11 Endowed Scholarship Fund in Business was established in 2012 by Stuart L. and Regina B. Solomon of McLean, Virginia.

Stuart L. Solomon earned a B.B.A. degree in 1985 and an M.B.A. degree in 1986 from Baylor University. Mr. Solomon is the Accenture managing director of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. region as well as a member of Accenture’s North American Executive Leadership Team. Mr. Solomon serves on several local non-profit and civic boards including the Federal City Council, the Economic Club of Washington, KIPP DC, and the Greater Washington Board of Trade. Regina Webster Solomon earned the B.S. degree in 1985 from Baylor University and is currently responsible for Women’s Ministries at Potomac Baptist Church in Northern Virginia. The Solomons have three children, Melissa, Michelle, and Jeffrey, and each is currently enrolled at Baylor University. Mr. and Mrs. Solomon are lifetime members of the Baylor Alumni Association.

The Solomons would like to convey to the scholarship applicants that while we are undeserving of God’s unmerited favor, He has chosen to bless us in every aspect of our lives. We continuously strive to strengthen our faith and pray that the scholarship applicants will invest their time, treasure, and talent in building the Kingdom of God as He grants them the means to exercise their stewardship.

Comments: This scholarship is for business students majoring in a technical degree program. In addition, preference is given to first generation college students.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Business.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
