Scholarship:	Dr DM Edwards Nursing Schp
Information:	The Dr. D. M. Edwards Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing in honor of Judge Abner V. and Mary Wilson McCall was established in 2014 by Dr. D.M. Edwards of Tyler, Texas to honor Abner and Mary McCall’s legacy of distinguished leadership and service to Baylor University. Abner Vernon McCall became president of Baylor University in 1961 and served in that capacity for 20 years. Later, Judge McCall served as chancel of Baylor University and was president emeritus from 1985 until he passed away in 1995. Mary Wilson McCall is a member of the Baylor University class of 1940 and she also earned an M.S.Ed. degree in 1967. She has said that her most satisfying accomplishment as first lady of Baylor was the building of the president’s home, the Allbritton House. D.M. Edwards earned a B.B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1976 and has faithfully given to Baylor annually. He serves as the chairman and CEO of Edwards Investments. He is a member and past chairperson of the Baylor University Library Board of Advisor, Baylor Bear Foundation, Endowed Scholarship Society, a library fellow, a charter member of the Old Main Society and a life member of the Baylor Alumni Association. In 2009, he received the W.R. White Award for his meritorious service to Baylor University.
Criteria:	For Undergraduate students in the School of Nursing.
Minimum GPA:	The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.
