Scholarship: Robert Copple Scholarship

Information: The Robert D. Copple Endowed Scholarship Fund in Accounting was established in 2014 by Robert D. and Lynda (Moore) Copple of Frisco, Texas.

Robert D. Copple graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. degree in accounting in 1980 and a M.P.A. degree in 1981, both from Baylor University. He is the president and chief operating officer of Cinemark Holdings, Inc. and Cinemark USA, Inc. Lynda (Moore) Copple earned a B.S.Ed. degree in 1979 from Baylor University and a M.A. degree in education in 1985 from Texas Wesleyan College (now Texas Wesleyan University). Lynda served as a teacher for Arlington ISD for 14 years (1979-1993). Robert and Lynda reside in Frisco, Texas, and have two children: Lisa Christine and John Michael.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Accounting majors in the School of Business.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
