Scholarship: Raymond & Margaret Kilgo Schp

Information: The Raymond L. and Margaret L. Kilgo Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 by Raymond L. and Margaret L. Kilgo of Lakeway, Texas.

Raymond L. Kilgo earned a B.S. degree from Baylor University in 1959. Margaret Lang Kilgo attended Baylor University from 1954-56 and was active in the Golden Wave Band, Baylor orchestra, and the Atheneans. Raymond and Margaret had successful careers as teachers and campus principals in the Galena Park Independent School District and Houston Independent School District and are the owners and founders of Kilgo Consulting, Inc., an educational consulting company (www.margaretkilgo.com). Raymond and Margaret Kilgo are members of the Bear Foundation. They have two children: Leigh Kilgo Weisinger (B.S.Ed. ’82; M.S.Ed. ’83) and Raymond L. Kilgo, Jr.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Education.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
