Scholarship: Joel & Diane Allison Schp

Information: The Joel T. and Diane Bailey Allison Endowed Scholarship Fund in Healthcare Administration was established in 2015 by Diane Bailey and Joel T. Allison of Dallas, Texas.

Joel T. Allison earned a B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1970 and a M.S. degree from Trinity University in 1973. He currently serves as the president and CEO of the Baylor Scott and White Health in Dallas, Texas. He has served on the Baylor University Board of Regents since 2012 and is currently a member of the Baylor Healthcare Administration Advisory Council. He is a member of the Baylor "B" Association as an athletic letter winner in football and was inducted into the Baylor "B" Association Wall of Honor in 2010.

Diane Bailey Allison earned a B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1970. She is a member of the Baylor University Women's Council of Dallas, serving as President from 2002 through 2003, and is a member of the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing Dean's Board.

Mr. and Mrs. Allison are members of tl1e Baylor Bear Foundation. The Allisons have three children: Brent, Blake (B.S.Ed. - 2001) and Celeste.

Mr. Allison credits much of his success in life to the strong foundation he received while at Baylor University. He would not have been able to attend Baylor University if it were not for the football scholarship he received. Mr. Allison wants to ensure that students continue to have these same opportunities.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate Health Care Administration majors in the Graduate School.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
