Scholarship: Robert & Austin Johnson Schp

Information: The Robert E. & G. Austin Johnston Hankamer School of Business Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2015 by Barbara J. and Robert E. Johnston of Harlingen, Texas.

Bob Johnston earned a B.B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1962. Barbara Johnston attended Baylor University and earned a B.S. degree from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas, in 1975 and a M.Ed. degree from University of Texas Pan American, Edinburg, Texas, in 1985.

Bob and Barbara Johnston are the owners of Auto Etc. Neon which for 25 years has offered Chevrolet, Corvette, Ford GT (40), Mustang automobiles owners unique quality Made-in-USA garage, home, dealership showroom, and personal décor products including automotive neon emblem signs, neon clocks, emblem mirrors, and fine gold and silver automotive personal jewelry designs. They are members of the Baylor Bear Foundation and Old Main Society.

Bob and Barbara had one son, Glenn Austin Johnson, who earned a B.B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1988 and an M.A. degree in 1993. Austin passed away April 8, 2003.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Business.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on need and merit.
