Scholarship: Crutchfield Family Scholarship

Information: The Crutchfield Family Endowed Scholarship Fund in Nursing was established in 2016 by J. Stuart and Kay Merryman Crutchfield of Tyler, Texas, in honor of the many members of the Crutchfield family who have been and will be Baylor Bears, including Stuart '84, Kay '85, Ashley '14, Andrew '15, and Jordan Weaver Crutchfield.

Dr. J. Stuart Crutchfield received the B.S. degree from Baylor University in 1984 and the M.D. degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1988. Dr. Crutchfield is a neurosurgeon in Tyler, Texas.

Kay Merryman Crutchfield received the B.B.A. degree from Baylor University in 1985. She is a member of the Baylor University Women's Council of Tyler.

Stuart and Kay Crutchfield are members of the Baylor Bear Foundation. They have two children: Ashley and Andrew.

Ashley Crutchfield earned the B.S. and B.S.N degrees from Baylor University in 2012 and 2014, respectively. She serves as a registered nurse at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Andrew Stuart Crutchfield earned the B.S. degree from Baylor University in 2015. In August 2015, Andrew married Jordan Weaver Crutchfield, who also attended Baylor University.

Criteria:  For Undergraduate students in the School of Nursing.

Minimum GPA: The University requires a minimum GPA of 2.50; however, individual departments may have more stringent academic requirements.

Need/Merit: Based on merit.
